Active compounds: The main constituents of
Astragalus membranceus include polysaccharides, saponins, Astragalus saponins, the main effective component of Astragalus membtanaceus, have positive inotropic action; astragaloside IV, xylose-glucose-cyclo-astragenol (XGA), is one of the main active constituent of astragalus saponins.
Appearance: Yellow Brown fine powder
Specification: Astragaloside IV: 0.3%, 0.5%, 10%, 20%, 90%, Detected by HPLC, ELSD; Polysaccharides 15%, 50%, 70%.
Packaging: inner package is innocuity double-layer plastic bag, 25Kg/bag, outer packing is fiberboard barrel.
Storage Situation: Stored in a cool and dry well-closed container, keep away from moisture and strong light, heat.Shelf Life: Two years under well Storage situation and stored away from direct sun light.
Pharmacology Function:
The polysaccharides found in Astragalus have been shown to play a role in immunomodulatory actions.
The saponins contained in Astragalus were found to have a positive effect on heart function by inhibiting the formation of lipid peroxides in the myocardium and decreasing blood coagulation. Astragaloside IV, has been found to have properties of increasing coronary flow and cardioprotection.
