Continuous slot wire wrapped
water well screens are made by winding cold-rolled wire, approximately triangular in cross section, around a circular array of the longitudinal rods. The wire is attached to rods by welding, producing rigid one-piece units having high strength characteristics at minimum weights. Advantages of the flat welded Johnson type screens/the water well screens/wedge wire screens are as follows:
1. Better filter function. The V-shape section plane of flat welded Johnson type screens/water well screens/wedge wire screens creates the continuous slot, which can avoid blockage and make sure of the unimpeded water.
2. Prolong life of well. The consecutive slot of flat welded Johnson type screens have wider open area, and it can reduce the speed of the water entering to avoid the sand entering the screen under the great pressure, so it can control sand better, which can increase the water yield and prolong service time of the well.
