The CoolBalance should be placed in front of your camera baseplate when the center of gravity is under
the lens from adding weight to the front of the camera with accessories like a depth of field adaptor, follow focus, matte box, etc. The adjustability makes it possible to balance a front heavy camera on your tripod properly.
