Due to need to transmit force, slewing bearings usually have gears on a ring, the outer ring with gears
is the external gear slewing ring, the inner ring with gears is the internal gear slewing ring. Commonly used gear shapes are spur gears and helical gears.

The high precision gears are processed by grinding after quenching to ensure gear accuracy and meet the requirements of high rotation accuracy.
