Product Description:[descriptions]
Boli GA-175 Glucoamylase is made from selected strains of Aspergillus niger using submerged
fermentation, extraction and refining techniques. It has a high conversion rate of starchy substrates into fermentable sugars. It can hydrolyze α-D-1, 4 glucosidic bonds from the non-reducing end of starch one after. It also hydrolyzes the α-D-1, 6 glucoside branch bonds of starch and cleaves the α-1, 3 bonds, releasing glucose. This product is our new glucoamylase that has been especially designed for saccharification in fuel ethanol production.
[characteristics]
This product is very thermostable and has a robust glucoamylase activity. Use of this product provides higher ethanol yields, faster fermentations, and lower residual starch levels.
Declared Enzyme: Gluco-amylase
Systematic Name: EC.3.2.1.3, α-1, 4 - glucan hydrolase glucose
Appearance: Light to dark brown liquid
Activity: 175, 000 U/g (minimum)
Product pH: 3.0 to 5.0
Specific gravity: 1.13 to 1.20 g/ml
[effect of ph]
For maximum activity, the optimal pH for this product is in the range of 3.5 to 4.5.
[effect of temperature]
The optimal temperature range for this product is 58 to 65°C (137 to 149°F).
[applications and advantages]
This product is used to saccharify liquified mash from various sources including corn, milo, barley, wheat, rice, potatoes and tapioca. The resultant glucose product is fermented by yeast or another appropriate microorganism to yield ethanol.
It is designed to ensure the following advantages:
Increased fermentation rate
Increased ethanol yields
Efficient starch/dextrin degradation
Low residual starch and sugars
Improved performance in pre-saccharification processes
Less residual starch in distiller’s grains
For ground-grain processing plants using simultaneous saccharification fermentation (SSF), this product may be added directly to the fermenter. For ground-grain dry mill plants and for wet mill plants using a separate presaccharification step prior to fermentation, it may be added to the cooling mash or liquefied starch when the temperature reaches 65 to 60°C (149 to 140°F). Temperatures above 70°C (158°F) can result in loss of activity.
Dosage guidelines
This product is generally added at a level of 0.05 to 0.06% w/w (starch, dry solids basis). The actual enzyme requirement is dependent on the raw materials, temperature, reaction time, and pH of the individual plant
saccharification/fermentation process, and its desired result.
[packing]
This product is packaged in either 30 kg or 1100 kg plastic containers. Customized packaging is also available upon request.
[storage]
This product can meet the declared enzyme activity upon arrival at the customer’s plant. It should be stored at cool temperatures in its closed original container, sheltered from direct sunlight. For maximum stability, this product should be stored below 20°C (68°F), preferably refrigerated at 5°C (41°F) for longterm storage.
It has been manufactured for optimum stability. However, all enzymes gradually lose activity over time. Extended storage and/or adverse conditions such as higher temperatures or increased humidity may lead to a higher dosage requirement.
[SAFETY & ENZYME HANDLING]
Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. For detailed handling information, please refer to Material Safety Data Sheet.
