Hard Chrome Plated Steel Bars are designed to meet your specific needs for piston rod material in Hydraulic
and Pneumatic Cylinders and other applications. Most advanced techniques of surface removal, polishing and hard chrome plating are used in manufacturing the above bars.
These hard chrome plated bars being available in standard sizes, chemistries and plating thickness, have convinced many design engineers to put Vardhman Steel Bars to work in construction, material - handling equipment, farm equipment, industrial machinery and almost anywhere, where precision, top quality Piston rods are required. These bars being preprocessed materials, you can save processing, time, energy, money and eliminate multiple vendor tensions. When delivered to you, no processing steps turning, grinding, finishing and plating are required.

Hard-Chrome Thickness 20 to 40 micron ( or do as per buyer request)
Hard-Chrome Hardness above HV 800/HRC63±2°
Surface roughness: Ry 0.6～1.4s Ra 0.2μm～0.4μm
Surface roughness :Ra ≤0.2 micron and rt≤2 micron
Straightness: 0.15mm/m
Ovality : < 0.01/L
Porosity：Test according to ISO1456/1458 and result valuation according to ISO 4540 rating 8-10
Corrosion resistance
Test in natural salt spray according to ASTM B 117-36 hours
Results evaluation according to ISO 4540 RATING 7-10.
Weld ability：Good
Packing: In paper sleeve and boxed or as per client's request
