The MAX3485EESA is a ±15kV ESD-protected, +3.3V, low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. It contains one driver and one receiver. The MAX3485EESA features slew-rate-limited drivers that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data transmission at data rates up to 250kbps. The partially slew-rate-limited MAX3486E transmits up to 2.5Mbps. The applications of the MAX3485EESA include Telecommunications, Industrial-Control Local Area Networks, Transceivers for EMI-Sensitive Applications, Integrated Services Digital Networks, Packet Switching.
