A fully new design concept to challenge existed high capacity PDH. The powerful FPGA coding
realized a full 100M Fast Ethernet link and 16 E1 channels into an optical link. The completed modular structure provide the most flexible combinations for customer’s application and kept expanded capacity for future upgrade. The FOM480 is the cost-effective solution to extend traditional E1 and
Ethernet over fiber.
FOM480 provides two slots of optical link for optional 1+1 auto protection switch (APS) and 4 slots of tributary with various plug-in modules including 4хE1 channels, 4хFXO/FXS and 4хV.35 module. The maximum capacity will be up 4 plug-in modules which could be combinations with above modules.
And the 100M Ethernet data link is an extra channel to be multiplexed into an optical link, it doesn’t waste E1 bandwidth to carry Ethernet during optical transmission. According to network application, FOM480 can offer any combinations for audio/date/video services.
FOM480 with high flexibility, performance and C/P value, is the best
solution for voice/data/video services in existed market.

8. One V.24 (RS-232) asynchronous channel for extra transmission
9. SNMP management
10. LCD and CIT for configuration and monitor
11. Dry contact (D-type 9) for central office Audible/Visible alarm
12. Redundant power supply with DC/AC modules
