Product Description:
H2S mud gas separator is one drilling mud equipment in whole well drilling fluids system. Usually APMGS
mud gas separator designed as follows:
Mud gas separator to be 800mm~1200mm vessel diameter with a 20” inspection port, 8” mud inlet, 5” choke inlet, 12” drain and an 8” pipe to flare line. Unit to lay over for easy transport. Some skid or support legs will be designed as elevating type
Unit will separate mud and vent gas and will fold over the top of the skid.
Unit will be blasted and painted with 2 coat of epoxy, 2 intermediate and 1 coat of polyurethane top.
Oilfield Mud gas separator is commonly called a gas-buster or poor boy degasser. It captures and separates large volume of free gas within the drilling mud. If there is a “KICK” situation, this vessel separates the mud and the gas by allowing it to flow over baffle plates. The gas then is forced to flow through a line and vent it to a flare.
When fluid mixed with gas enters into degasser, the baffle plate will help break gas bubbles inside. The gas will flow up to vent line. With special design on degasser mud leg, the gas is not able to flow back again. Degassed drilling fluid can be processed safely by subsequent equipment
