Gear type slewing drive/slew drive is a new type of slewing drive, which is different from worm gear
worm shaft type slewing drive. Gear type slewing drive is essentially driven by a pinion to drive an external gear slewing bearing/slewing ring to do transmission. In order to meet the use of more mechanical equipments, the geared type slewing drive/slew drive designed by Unique Transmission can also be driven by a pinion to rotate the internal tooth/gear slewing ring.
Compared with the worm gear slewing drive, the gear type slewing drive/slew drive can reach a higher speed; compared with the slewing bearing/slewing ring, it has many advantages such as high integration, easy installation, high protection level, long service life, etc. Therefore, in the slewing devices of automated machinery and equipment, gear type slewing drives/slew drives are slowly used to replace slewing bearings/slewing rings. For example, in welding positioners, machine tool turntables and other equipments, the gear type slewing drive/slew drive can quickly and stably finish slewing operation, its maintenance frequency is lower than slewing rings.
