The High pressure piston pump is a positive displacement industrial high pressure triplex reciprocating piston pump also known as plunger pump, these plunger pumps are very efficient and often used to handle relatively small quantity of liquid at quite large delivery pressure.
In a reciprocating triplex plunger pump, a volume of liquid is drawn into the cylinder through the suction valve on the intake stroke and is discharged under positive pressure through the outlet valves on the discharge stroke.
