Product Description:
Silicone Rubber Coated Fiberglass Sleeving was specially developed to meet the fire resistance requirements
of FAATSO - C53a OR TSO - C75.
Silicone Rubber Coated Fiberglass Sleeving can withstand repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminum and molten glass up to 3000°F (1650°C).
Fire Sleeve protects continuously to 260°C/500°F and will withstand a molten splash at 1200°C/2200°F. Made of braided fiberglass yarns in a flexible substrate, it is then coated with a high grade silicone rubber.
Resistant to hydraulic fluids, Lubricating oils, and fuels, Silicone Sleeve insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing;protects employees from burns;and allows bunding of wires, hoses, and cables.
Industry Fire sleeve is the perfect cover to protect hydraulic hoses, pneumatic lines and wiring bundles.
Sheds splash immediately
Silicone Rubber Coated Fiberglass Sleeving withstands repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminum and molten glass up to 3000°F (1650°C). The heavy coating of our proprietary iron oxide red silicone rubber compound sheds molten metal splash immediately, so very little heat transfer occurs.
Withstands intense radiant heat and flame
Aerospace AS1072 Grade Fire Sleeve will withstand continuous exposure to 500° F (260°C); up to 2000°F (1090°C) for 15-20 minutes; and up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15-30 seconds. When exposed to flame, the silicone rubber transforms into a crust, creating a protective SiO2 refractory layer.
