Product Description:
Spiral welded pipe machine is used to big diameter pipes by spiral welding method like from 160mm to
3250mm. By decoiler to uncoil and level the steel coil, and send the strip to forming machine by certain angle, then bend the pipe by certain angle based on three-roller forming principle, at last weld the spiral welding seam by the submerged arc welder. It is also called SSAW pipe mill.
Why Spiral welded pipe mill was developed?
The spiral method of forming tubular products as it has flexibility of the process. Flexibility in raw material as spiral pipe can be made from a variety of raw materials, such as carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and coated metals. Flexibility in diameter, for Zhongtuo spiral welded pipe machine could make pipe from diameter from 160mm to 3250mm.
How many types spiral welded pipe mills have?
1. Divided by function, spiral welded pipe mills have API standard model, national standard model and special purpose model.
1) API standard model mainly produces the delivery pipe with petroleum or natural gas (long distance).the material and quality of the steel pipe need to be very good. The requirements for mill equipment and testing equipment also are very high.
2) National standard model produces the pipe used for short distance delivery of natural gas or water, the pipeline construction in the city, the structure pipe, column pipe and so on. The requirements for the material and quality of the steel also are very high, second only to that of API standard.
3) Special purpose spiral welded pipe mill, also could be called customized spiral welded pipe mill. It will be made totally according to customer requirements.
