Product Description:
BCM strain gauges represent BCM advanced technologies in R&D, manufacturing, technical support and
consultancy in the application of metal foil strain gauges. BCM strain gauges are developed and manufactured for transducer application and stress analysis. In product category of strain gauges, BCM offer both metal foil strain gauges and semiconductor strain gauges.
BCM metal foil strain gauges include the following three class strain gauges:
- class-A : gauges specially designed for manuafcturing of high-accuray transducers (better than 0.02%FS)
- class-B : temperature compensated guages suitable for accuracy transducers (0.05%FS) and stress analysis
- class-C : guages specially designed for stress analysis to be performed in some critic measurement conditions
BCM semiconductor strain gauges are especially designed to following problems:
- to probe the very weak or very small signals
- to compensate for a significant non-linearity encountered in manufacturing of transducers
Thanks to the higher signal output compared to the metal foil strain gauges, BCM semiconductor strain gauges have been playing an important role in both transducer application and strain measurements.
BCM also manufacture bondable resistors that are used for temperature and modulus compensation in transducer production, and bondable terminals that are necessary for wire connection between strain gauges and instruments. In addition, BCM are able to supply gauge installation accessories (strain-gauge adhesives, protective coatings and sealants, bonding tools, solid copper wires... ) that are useful in gauge installation process. With those accessories, one can easily bond the strain gauge on to the object surface for transducer application or stress analysis. To assist gauge application, gauge installation instructions are given as a reference document that may be useful in order to achieve quality installation of strain gauges.
