Product Description:Sulfamethoxazol Residue Rapid Inspection Device is used to qualitative detect Sulfamethoxazol in honey
samples at the sensitivity of 5μg/kg（5ppb）, and the whole processes of assay can be performed outdoors. The whole time of assay is only approx. 20-30min.

Sulfamethoxazol (SMZ) is a broad spectrum antibiotic which is widely used as bacteriostatic agents in animal husbandry and veterinary practice, but also as feed additives, mainly for fattening of calves and pigs. Combined with inhibitors of dihydrofolate reductase such as trimethoprim, tetroxoprim, or pyrimethamine Sulfamethoxazol are also used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of intestinal infections, mastitis, pulmonitis and other (systemic) diseases. However, in humans it leads to hematotoxic side effects, Particularly the transmission of the carcinogenic Sulfamethoxazol represents a threat to human health.
TheA Sulfamethoxazol Residue Rapid Inspection Device is a rapid test to qualitatively detect the presence of Sulfamethoxazol in honey specimens at the sensitivity of 5μg/kg . The major advantages of the one step test device is that the whole processes of assay can be performed outdoors, and the results can be observed by visual inspection.
3. principle
The principle is the antigen-antibody reaction. The one step test device is a competitive immunoassay of which the detector reagent consists colloidal gold particles that is coated with affinity purified anti-Sulfamethoxazol antibodies. The capture reagent in the assay is Sulfamethoxazol-protein conjugate, which is immobilised on the membrane of the test device. The specimen migrates over the membrane. The more analyte in the sample, the more effectively it will compete with the Sulfamethoxazol immobilised on the membrane for binding to the limited amount of antibodies of the detector reagent.. If Sulfamethoxazol in the specimen is above 5μg/kg, it will prevent the binding of the detector reagent with the Sulfamethoxazol immobilised on the membrane, resulting in positive.
