Maintenance of Earth station antenna
Most of the earth station antenna is Rx/Tx antenna, it plays an
important role in satellite communication. Antenna works in outdoor, and outdoor environment is harsh, so the natural environment of the region where use the antenna should be fully considered before antenna design. In the process of use, the antenna also needs to maintain in regular and test in order to improve the service life and communication reliability of the antenna.
Limited motion antenna
I Daily inspection
Check if the sound of the antenna azimuth and elevation motor is unusual.
Check the performance of antenna automatic tracking.
Weekly inspection
Check if the antenna feed is intact and clean. The horn film should be kept clean and dry, there should not have cracks and holes. When there is rain and snow accumulated on the horn film, it will deteriorate the antenna lobe’s performance and cause the decline of gain, thus affect the working performance of the antenna.
Check if the motor and the jackscrew connecting axis has abnormal noise or heating phenomenon.
Check if the antenna cable has heat, aging or broken by rat bite.
Check if the motor leak oil.
