Wire EDM Cone Taper Cutting Wirecut EDM
Model: RFR-400M
When conventional machining processes cannot
successfully cut high taper angles, wire EDM can get the job done. This wire EDM machine is widely used to cut the complicated shapes including the different top and bottom profiles, allows for unmatched straight and taper cutting accuracy.
Taper cutting EDM wirecut can cut with a maximum taper angle of +/-12° in metals with 80MM thickness.
EDM Taper Cutting Machine Features:
1) Parameter is not required to put in, Artificial Intelligence works out perfect parameter immediately after putting in cutting thickness and wire diameter. Different accuracy based on different workers with different experience will be solved.
2) Roughness: Ra ≤0.8um
3) 3 Times Cutting thickness: ≥200mm
4) Max Machining Speed: 200mm2/min

1) Window XP System with Auto-CAD software control System.
2) PANASONIC Inverter ( Japan Panasonic )
3) "C" Structure HT250 Casting Machine Body ( Japan HTK )
4) Standard DRO and Z axis motorized drive up and down.
5) Hiwin brand linear guide way install on XYZUV 5 axis (P lever)
6) Hiwin brand ball screw install on XYZUV 5 axis (C3 lever )
7) Automatic center lubrication system. (Not manual)

Taper cutting is a common application of the wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) process used for the production of parts with complex geometry such as extrusion dies in wear-resistant materials, cutting dies, etc. During cutting, the molybdenum wire is subject to deformation, resulting in deviations in the inclination angle of machined parts. This fact causes dimensional errors and loss of tolerances that can lead to the rejection of high added-value tooling.
