Wedge wire screen cylinder filter is made up of rods and warp. The rod can be round wire, triangular
wire, or trapezoid wire. The warp is a triangular wire (V-shaped wire).
We have been producing industry-leading stainless steel wedge wire mesh cylinders for liquid/solid and gas/solid separation for more than 10 years. Known for great strength, long service life, and a high level of adaptability, our Wedge Wire screens are ideal for the harsh environments of food and beverage processing.
Advantages of wedge wire mesh cylinders
Wedge Wire mesh cylinder provides a unique combination of the most important features required for maximum screening efficiency
Free Clearance: The wedge-shaped sections of the wire from apertures become progressively wider in a downward direction, thus ensuring the rapid flow of material through them. Clogged and blinded apertures are reduced to an absolute minimum.
Lateral Strength: In our opinion, no form of screening surface will I apertures as fine as those of wedge wire screens, can compare with the mechanical strength and working efficiency of wedge wire.
Percentage Open Area: For a given aperture size, wedge wire screens have a much larger percentage of the open area than conventional sieves.
Wearing Life: Owing to a greater wearing area being provided by hat top surfaces, wedge wire screens retain their aperature for a longer duration than round wire screens.
